Bonhomme Hospitality is currently seeking a wine-focused BARTENDER to join the team at GOOD FUNK / BEATNIK ON THE RIVER Chicago.

About the role: we are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate bartender to join the team. This position will primarily be focused on Good Funk, our natural wine bar under the same roof, but will also be expected to cross-train and cover shifts as needed at Beatnik. Good Funk bartenders are expected to have a deep understanding of wine, natural wine in particular, and serve as leaders among the team in terms of wine service and education.

- have 1 or more years of experience in a high-volume, quality driven bar
- never stop seeking out new information about what you're eating and drinking
- can explain the difference between your grandma's sardines and fine Spanish conservas
- are comfortable with light culinary tasks (plating cheese boards, conservas, etc.)
- OR if you are not those things but would like to be soon!
Job duties include (but are not limited to):
- lifting up to 50 pounds
- extended time standing and working on your feet behind the bar
- recommending, serving, and education guests and colleagues about natural wine
- plating and serving small plates
- friendly, knowledgeable, warm customer service
